Company History
Source Technologies was founded in 1986 to provide custom printing solutions for businesses. Initially these included custom interfaces, barcode solutions - any special print technology needed to solve a particular customer problem. Since that time, we have actively listened to our customers and have developed the most reliable hardware and software systems available for secure, distributed, on-demand financial transactions.
In the early 90s, Source Technologies formed an alliance with Lexmark to become their exclusive provider of MICR laser printers. Since that time, we have also become the exclusive MICR laser provider for IBM, Standard Register, Unisys, Pitney Bowes, and others. Through the late 90s and up to the present, our team of engineers and programmers created a powerful family of disbursement management software tightly integrated with our printers to offer customers optimum levels of features, speed, and security for their unique environments. As a result we have grown to be the largest supplier of MICR printing solutions in the United States. We have created more than $500 million in economic value for banks, credit unions, Fortune 1000, and mid-sized companies in the last ten years, and are proud to claim nine out of the top ten U.S. banks as customers.
In the late 90s we utilized our years of real-world financial transaction experience to develop some of the first self service kiosks for managing customer-facing financial transactions. Today, as one of the largest kiosk manufacturers and leading provider of transactional kiosks, and our concourse family of intelligent kiosks and software allow financial institutions, retailers, and governments to revolutionize their customer-facing operations, including bill payments, consumer banking, and stored-value card purchasing. 2007 marks the year we expand our concourse family to include interactive, point-of-information applications for retail, government, healthcare, and other industries. All concourse intelligent self service kiosks are built from the ground-up to enable secure financial transactions and high-performance point-of-information applications, and these complete solutions - hardware, software and devices - are delivered by a single vendor.
For more than 20 years, Source Technologies has succeeded because we rely on our customers to tell us what will help them make their customers' lives better. We combine this knowledge with our ability to innovate with speed, rapidly turning new ideas into new solutions. We then deliver these solutions with world-class quality and dependability to provide our customers ongoing economic value and significant competitive advantage.
