Source Technologies announces smart printer with embedded server

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 11, 2005 -Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announces the availability of the ST9530 desktop MICR printer, the first in a series of intelligent, high performance printers with built-in server technology.

The ST9530 features improved duty cycles and higher toner yields, along with embedded server technology that enables remote monitoring of the printer from any location.

This new generation of printers also includes MICRpoint™ technology, which allows for repositioning of the MICR line at the printer’s control panel. “The ability to adjust the MICR line at the printer eliminates the need for time-consuming and complicated programming, prevents costly rejects and improves readability,” added Mike Bailey, VP Engineering, Source Technologies.
