Source Technologies Releases concourse Monitoring Station
-Controls teller-assisted self-service environment, cuts deployment costs-Orlando, Fla., Nov 15, 2005 -Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced at the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) Retail Delivery Conference & Expo 2005, the general availability of the concourse Monitoring Station, a teller-facing computer workstation for use with Source Technologies’ teller-assisted self-service banking solution.
The Monitoring Station can be pre-loaded and configured with Source Technologies’ concourse Teller software to simplify integration, speed deployment, and cut costs for banks installing the banking kiosks.
The Monitoring Station is comprised of Source Technologies’ unique 3-Series flat-panel touch screen CPU with integrated biometric fingerprint ID scanner, mouse, and keyboard. Running concourse Teller software, it concurrently manages the user interface on multiple kiosks, plus the teller’s “split-screen” view of customer kiosk activity and communication with external applications. The Monitoring Station can also function as the bank’s teller PC, running the teller platform client software alongside concourse Teller.
“The biggest obstacle to implementing new branch automation solutions is not the technology; it’s deployment, support, and maintenance,” said Miles Busby, president of Source Technologies. “The concourse Monitoring Station enables out-of-the-box deployment of our teller-assisted self-service platform. And because we maintain both the hardware and software roadmap, we can ensure forward and backward compatibility for up to five years.”
