Source Technologies' Next-Generation MICR Printer Provides Secure Printing

Charlotte, NC., April 24, 2007-Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced the availability of its ST9512 magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) printer, a follow-on product to the ST9510. The ST9512 is a desktop-class MICR printer designed for on-demand check printing of such items as official checks, AP/payroll checks and other disbursements.

With print speeds up to 30 pages per minute, a first-page print rate of 7.5 seconds and duty cycle of up to 25,000 pages per month, the ST9512 offers the same MICR print quality and many of the same security features as Source Technologies workgroup printers, but for businesses with lower check volumes. Its standard duplex printing capability makes it flexible enough for small business printing and also supports low-volume IRD printing at financial institutions. The ST9512 comes standard with USB, Centronics Parallel and Ethernet ports.
