Source Technologies Ends 2007 with Success, Begins 2008 with Full Force
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 28, 2008 -Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced its 2007 results, including 218 new customers, 12 new products from its controlled-print and self-service business divisions, and five strategic industry partnerships. In addition, the company secured two kiosk industry awards at KioskCom for the third consecutive year.
Early in 2007, the company's Controlled-Print division introduced the ST9512, a desktop-class magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) printer designed for on-demand printing of official checks and other disbursements, and the CheckPartner™ Enterprise software platform for remote funding applications. Its Self-Service division announced the redesign of the concourse™ 5-Series kiosk to provide customers with greater device modularity, and the availability of the CXK20 check imager/retainer specifically designed for transactional self-service applications.
In the latter part of 2007, the company announced the availability of its Secure Document Printer line, including both the ST9530sd and ST9550sd to provide extensive security and control features for printing of time- and information-intensive documents. The announcement of several new printer upgrades followed, including the Tray Lock upgrade, Locking Replacement Tray, the Secure Print Module and FormsPartner®, a server-based forms and print-management software application.
At the January 2008 National Retail Federation (NRF) show in New York, Source Technologies launched an interactive kiosk that features the robust Windows® Embedded operating system that supports a virtually unlimited number of applications, maximizing the value and usability for retailers. The company also introduced its Interactive Suite of Applications (ISA) for its interactive kiosks. Strategic retail partnerships were announced at the 2008 show. These include Direct Source, a national retail integration, deployment and services provider, which provides tier-one retailers with new interactive self-service kiosks. Source Technologies and Real Digital Media, a leading provider of next-generation digital signage products for establishing point-of-purchase marketing, advertising and corporate communication networks, joined forces to provide a multi-functional, interactive kiosk that increases retailers' sales and marketing efforts through digital signage and price checking capabilities. Furthermore, the company's partnership with TreoSystems made available an interactive iPAL product locator system for large-format retail stores. Source Technologies will debut the interactive kiosk at the National Retail Federation (NRF) show, held in New York City from Jan. 13-15, 2008. Source Technologies also formed an alliance with Compu-Call, InfoPrint Solutions Company's largest printing systems distributor, to serve as a distributor for Source Technologies' line of InfoPrint Solutions -brand MICR printers. Earlier in 2007, the company also partnered with ChoicePay, an electronic bill payment solutions provider, to provide hundreds of national and regional billers access to a network of self-service bill-pay kiosks deployed in payment centers, convenience stores and supermarkets.
Source Technologies received two awards for the third consecutive year at the 2007 KioskCom Self Service Expo: Best Financial Services Deployment for its Total Self-Service Banking solution with Quorum Federal Credit Union, and Best Government/ Education/Non-Profit Deployment for its Cobra Cashier solution with Swanson Services Corporation®.
