Source Technologies Upgrades Physical Printer Security

CHARLOTTE, N.C., August 7, 2007 -Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions that help companies manage secure, real-time information and transactions, announced the availability of several new printer upgrades that enhance physical security: the tray lock upgrade, locking replacement tray, and secure drawer attachment kit,. These upgrades allow businesses of all kinds to maintain security over print stock and prevent pilfering of specialized forms stored in the printer.

The tray lock upgrade adds a key lock to the integrated paper tray on Source Technologies' magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) and secure document printers. It has been reengineered to also accommodate Lexmark, IBM, Infoprint Solutions and Unisys desktop and workgroup printers. The locking replacement tray is an aftermarket solution for upgrading printers already in the field. Finally, the secure drawer attachment kit allows companies to deploy up to two locked drawers, both physically attached and securely integrated to the printer. By implementing secure tray locks and drawers, companies can protect and manage their resources, such as checks, orders, vital records, prescriptions or any information-sensitive documents.
