Source Technologies Automates Consumer Banking Transactions, Launches concourse Self-Service Application Suite
CHARLOTTE, N.C., December 10, 2004 -Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, launched its concourse Application Suite of self-service solutions at the Bank Administration Institute's Annual Retail Delivery Conference. The concourse Application Suite includes three core software solutions for automating consumer banking, including concourse TASS Teller-Assisted Self-Service), concourse Bill Pay and concourse Check Cashing. All three run on Source Technologies’ concourse family of self-service kiosks. By automating consumer banking transactions, concourse software applications and kiosks improve the customer experience while tellers and other bank staff focus on value-added activities such as cross-selling, up-selling, and customer service.
Similar to the self-service approach used by grocery stores and airlines, concourse TASS empowers customers to manage their own transactions inside the branch, while the teller monitors and assists the customer as needed. Deployed on concourse kiosks, concourse TASS automates the most time-consuming and expensive teller transactions, increasing teller productivity while enhancing the satisfaction of customers who prefer automated branch banking.
“Branch banking is back, and customers are demanding higher-quality and faster service,” said Miles Busby, founder and president, Source Technologies. “Self-service solutions change branch dynamics and behavior on both sides of the counter, allowing for more meaningful teller-customer interactions and better employee performance.” concourse TASS allows banks to create a more effective staffing model that increases sales and decreases overhead,” Busby added. “It has the potential to switch the branch employee ratio from 30 percent sales reps and 70 percent tellers to 70 percent sales and 30 percent tellers, resulting in higher performance from fewer employees.”
concourse Check Cashing provides a fast and easy way for under-banked consumers to cash checks, transfer money, or purchase money orders and store-value cards without waiting in line. Deployed on concourse kiosks in bank branches or other retail locations, concourse Check Cashing fully authenticates the customer, reads and images checks, accepts and dispenses cash, prints MICR money orders, dispenses stored-value cards, and prints transaction receipts.
concourse Bill Pay is an ideal solution for mobile phone operators, cable companies, and other retailers to streamline bill payment for customers who want to pay their bills in-store without waiting in line. Freed from processing payments, customer service and sales staff can focus on customers with other needs. Customers can make payments to a variety of billers with a credit card, cash or check. Deployed on concourse kiosks, concourse Bill Pay identifies customers through a variety of authentication capabilities including a barcode scanner that reads customer account numbers on paper bills. It supports additional functions including account activations, plan and feature up-sells, and product and accessory information.
“Whether they run in a bank branch or in a retail store, all of the concourse self-service kiosk solutions and software applications improve customer relationships, and fuel company growth with fewer resources,” Busby added.
