Source Technologies Forms Business Units, Promotes Executive Team

- New units support strategic areas of focus, position company for growth -

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 14, 2004-Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced the formation of two business units--Self-Service Solutions and Payment Solutions--to better support the company's areas of strategic emphasis. Source Technologies also announced that Bill Lynch has been promoted to Vice President of Self-Service Solutions and will be responsible for the growth of the company's concourse™ self-service kiosk business. Marilyn Carpenter has been named Vice President of Payment Solutions and will lead the payment software and MICR laser check printer business.

Lynch and Carpenter will provide top level management for their divisions including organization, strategic direction, and product management. In addition, Rodger Morrison becomes Vice President of Channel Sales. In this role, Morrison will develop and implement the company's sales strategy through reseller programs and strategic alliances with IBM, Lexmark, Dell and other partners. Chuck Tillman, previously Account Manager for the Midwest, is promoted to Sales Manager for all direct sales.
